Platform engineering in action with Google Cloud and Humanitec

This session will discuss the Humanitec reference architecture for Google Cloud and demonstrate how it enables different personas to take advantage of some core platform engineering concepts.

Developers and platform engineers are trying to solve two different sets of user journeys with their platforms. At a high level, we can break that down into the following: Developers want a way to define their workloads simply so they can be deployed and tracked via an Internal Developer Platform. Platform engineers want to ensure governance while providing those capabilities to developers. This talk will discuss the Humanitec reference architecture for Google Cloud and demonstrate how it enables different personas to solve these challenges and take advantage of some core platform engineering concepts.
