Leon Rosenshein
Leon Rosenshein will often be seen in a Hawaiian shirt, fedora, and shorts. He's a mechanical and aerospace engineer by training and has since drifted into computers and infrastructure. He started his career doing flight simulation for the US Air Force and games (Falcon 4, flight simulator, combat flight simulator, train simulator).
Before his current role at Aurora, Leon worked at Amazon on the Just Walk Out team. Before that, he was with Aurora and Uber/ATG, focusing on infrastructure for developing and testing autonomous vehicles. Between simulation and robot vehicles he worked on all aspects of online mapping, from data collection and processing to 3D modeling and rendering at Microsoft.
Leon is currently at Aurora, where he focuses on software quality, ensuring that Aurora can deliver the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly.
